Bromont’s Holiday Magic is Coming to Town!

Bromont is all decked out for the holidays! On December 2 and 3, come and get in the holiday spirit at Festif Bromont – Old-Bromont’s huge outdoor Christmas market.

Festif Bromont has become an annual tradition in the Brome-Missisquoi region! At the heart of it all is the jolly Christmas market in the Public Square, extending throughout all of Old-Bromont’s charming boutiques. If you’re looking for the perfect holiday gifts, you’ll find a delightful mix of handcrafted creations and seasonally selected items. Between bouts of holiday shopping, check out the merry musical and other performances taking place at the Centre culturel St-John and at the Public Square on Saturday and Sunday. And there’s still more! Topping off the weekend’s festivities is a lively garland of creative and fun-filled activities for young and old alike.

Christmas market: where the magic of local craftsmanship and creativity come to life!

Here are just some of the artisans who will be at the market: Chouchoute-toi will be there with its collection of soy candles and self-care products. Les ânes en culotte will have a wide range of products made from the farm’s own donkey milk. Les Pétards will be offering body and hair care products formulated with Canadian ingredients. Esprit Bohème will have wonderful macramé creations to beautify your home. And if you love handbags, Dans le Sac has a stunning collection of natural linen, cotton and hemp bags – one for every occasion! And don’t forget to stock up at Maison Oléa, whose hand-crafted products are made right here in Bromont.

The magicians of clay transformation, Sophie Manessiez and Luloba céramique, will be presenting utilitarian and decorative ceramics. Marie Morneau will have hand-painted ceramic coasters, trivets and catchalls to choose from. And if you’re searching for unique home décor, be sure to add La Belle Vieillerie Déco & Antiquités and Boutique Ema Rose to your gift-buying itinerary.

Soha & Co will be presenting its minimalist jewellery and accessories. Aura Vibes will have jewellery made of semi-precious stones that emit “good vibes” year-round! Got a fancy for local fashion? Sample tasty creations like maple products, kombucha, meat pies and sauces, duck products, caramels, mushrooms and growing blocks, sea buckthorn products, soups, spices, dumplings and spirits. Shows to make the heart merry

On Saturday, Jeunesses musicales will be at the Centre culturel St-John, presenting the Grand bal de Noël – a clownish concert where children get to help create a song.

On Sunday, let the Lumina chamber choir enchant you with a selection of new and old music as well as traditional a capella songs. Tickets are on sale on the Centre culturel’s website.

An entire weekend of music

At the Public Square, the female voice trio JAVA will be filling the air with pitch-perfect a capella harmonies. They’ll be presenting thee free 45-minute performances on Saturday and Sunday. Scattered throughout the two days will also be toe-tapping performances by a singer-songwriter and skilfully knitted stories told by an expert storyteller. Young and old alike will be all ears!

Festive activities for the entire family

What holiday celebration would be complete without a visit from Santa? The man in red be making a special trip all the way from the North Pole! After sharing their holiday wishes, little ones can head off to the planned workshops, which include decorating locally baked Christmas cookies. Meanwhile, adults can sample wines and cocktails at the Brome-Missisquoi Wine Route bar. Espiègle, our mascot, will also be on hand, spreading holiday cheer. Did you know that his Christmas tree-shaped costume was designed in Bromont by the talented Annie Gélinas?
