Born and raised in the working-class neighborhoods of Saginaw, Michigan, she grew up in a deeply musical family. Surrounded by jazz, gospel, and blues, her home felt like a true juke joint, filled with singing, dancing, and music.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Discovered in Chicago with The Wise Guys, she quickly launched an international career. Influenced by legends such as Koko Taylor, Etta James, Aretha Franklin, and Billie Holiday,&nbsp;Sharrie&nbsp;Williams has developed a powerful style blending gospel, rock, and blues.
