It begins when, at the age of ten, she leaves her native Moscow to join her maternal grandparents in New York. The adventure takes an unexpected turn and ultimately ends at her aunt\u2019s home in Montreal, where Kim would put down roots.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Passionate about the arts\u2014music, dance, and theatre\u2014she drew on a childhood memory to create the character Fanfreluche. From that same childhood, she shares the tenderness of her paternal grandmother, as well as dramatic moments lived under Stalin\u2019s repressive communist regime. She has also taught at the National Theatre School of Canada and led workshops for the Union des \u00e9crivaines et des \u00e9crivains qu\u00e9b\u00e9cois.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Kim Yaroshevskaya&nbsp;<\/strong>(1923-2025)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A pioneer of children\u2019s programming in Quebec, Kim Yaroshevskaya left a lasting mark on generations with the character Fanfreluche, created in 1954 at Th\u00e9\u00e2tre Le Grenier and later brought to Radio-Canada television (<em>Fafouin<\/em>, <em>La Bo\u00eete \u00e0 surprise<\/em>, and <em>Fanfreluche<\/em>). From 1968 to 1971, she not only played the role but also wrote and scripted every episode of <em>Fanfreluche<\/em>. A versatile actor, she performed in theatre, television, and film, including <em>La femme de l\u2019h\u00f4tel<\/em>, <em>Le Matou<\/em>, <em>Anne Trister<\/em>, and <em>Le sexe des \u00e9toiles<\/em>.
