1780, David-Bouchard Boulevard, Roxton Pond

(450) 776-7182

For outdoor and water activity enthusiasts, Parc national de la Yamaska is a prime destination! Whether by bike or on foot, you can cover several kilometers here to breathe the pure air of nature and discover a forested valley typical of the Appalachian lowlands. The park is part of the extensive network of provincial parks in Quebec known as SEPAQ (Société des établissements de plein air du Québec).

CHOINIÈRE RESERVOIR

A witness to the park’s creation in 1983, Choinière Reservoir extends its 4.56 km2 to the delights of water activity enthusiasts. This vast body of water teems with life; fish, ducks, and great blue herons coexist here, as do numerous other animal species that find refuge in its waters.

The supervised beach at Choinière Reservoir attracts many visitors during hot summer days. Taking a refreshing swim after engaging in outdoor activities and exploring the park is a delightful option for a fulfilling day.

A variety of activities can be enjoyed during the warmer seasons: canoeing, kayaking, paddle boating, stand-up paddleboarding, fishing, and rowing. Equipment can be rented on-site. There’s even an ice cream shop to satisfy those sweet cravings!

ACCOMMODATIONS

Camping, ready-to-camp sites, nature cabins, rustic camps, there are plenty of options for outdoor lovers.

DOG FRIENDLY

Dogs are allowed in the park; however, access is limited to certain areas under certain conditions.

WINTER IN THE PARK

At the park, nature observation evolves with the seasons. Come winter, the frosted nature of the snowshoe and cross-country ski trails will excite the whole family. You can venture out on the trails with a fat bike or even try ice fishing.
