TANYA MORAND. GORDON AND HENRY GO TO TOWN
October 2, 2025 to April, 5, 2026
Photography and collage lead artist Tanya Morand to create paintings and screen prints in which she explores the heterogeneous reality and social fabric of the cities she visits. Her works offer a journey through geography and time, taking us from Sherbrooke to Québec City, via Madrid and Havana. The cultural and vernacular heritage of these different places comes into contrast in these cities that are cut up and reassembled.
Tanya Morand was invited by the Musée des beaux-arts de Sherbrooke to come discover the city of Sherbrooke. She casts a new look on our municipality in her canvases, at times critical and at others contemplative, and invites us to imagine our future city, whose destiny rests with all of us. Learn more.
October 2, 2025 to April, 5, 2026.
Ultra Nan is an atypical and endearing little character who appeared in the city of Sherbrooke more than twenty years ago. A little bit like a superhero, his anonymity let everyone see themselves in his outward appearance but also in his universal, poetic and socially engaged messages. His superpower? Making the experience of art and beauty accessible. Like all superheroes, however, his identity has always been a secret! A refined, authentic and concentrated exhibition, a bit like a jar of molasses. To be consumed without moderation. Learn more.
