Old-Bromont Public Market: Local products to discover every week

24 April 2025

This season, Bromont à la ferme is getting a new name: the Old-Bromont Public Market. Already a must-visit for many locals, this weekly market is the perfect spot to stock up on fresh, local flavours in a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. If you haven’t been yet, now’s the perfect time to start a new tradition! The market will be held every Sunday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., from June 29 to October 12, at Bromont’s Public Square—with a break on August 24 during the Bromont en Art Symposium.

The best of the terroir every week

Each week, local farmers and food artisans will be on site offering a wide range of fresh and delicious products. Visitors can stock up on seasonal fruits and vegetables, high-quality meats, maple products, and a host of gourmet delights. Among the regulars, you’ll find Les Jardins de la Marmotte and La Récolte des Cantons with their gorgeous fresh vegetables, Mycep with a great variety of gourmet mushrooms, and Les Jardins en Mouvement, whose homemade dumplings and kimchi are sure to please. Cheese lovers will enjoy the products from Fromagerie Brebis de Bromont, especially their sheep’s milk feta. Sweet tooths can look forward to treats from Érablière Familiale P. Bernier, including dressings, spices and other creative products to elevate your cooking. And new this year: Désirables Gâteries, a local favourite, will be there with homemade pies, and pastries. A delight not to be missed!

Exceptional meats to discover

Meat lovers will have plenty to choose from with a wide variety of top-quality options. Each week, discover premium products from La Canardière and Ferme Passion’air. La Canardière raises mulard ducks fed whole corn—100% natural and Quebec-sourced—while Ferme Passion’air raises pigs cage-free, antibiotic- and hormone-free, on a healthy diet of quality grains, hay, fruits, and vegetables. Other occasional producers include Domaine Muscadine, known for its delicious elk meat; Le Cheptel du Paysan, offering free-range chicken; and Ferme Windy Rock, specializing in grass-fed beef. A great opportunity to meet the producers, learn their stories, and enjoy food you can trace back to the source!

New discoveries each week

Alongside the regulars, several guest producers will enrich the market’s offerings throughout the season with fresh flavours and surprises. New this year: Verger Jean-Pierre Bisson will bring apples and pears starting mid-August, while Charme Saisonnier flower farm will dazzle with stunning seasonal blooms. Serre René Robidoux will showcase its saffron loaves and greenhouse-grown blue grapes starting in September. Berry lovers will enjoy the fresh and transformed blueberries from La Colline aux Bleuets. On the beverage side, Vignoble Domaine Girouard and Jus Sec will join with fine wines and bold dry ciders, respectively. Returning favourites include Huilerie l’Arôme des Champs, offering sunflower oil and organic flours, and Ferme de la colline du chêne, with a wide selection of fresh organic vegetables.
