Rossignol’s Canadian HQ in Bromont partners with local resorts to offer playful and safe ski programs for kids, making Bromont, montagne d’expérience a top progression centre in Quebec.
4 KEYS TO SUCCESS
The right equipment
Make sure the skis and boots fit your child properly, it will make learning much easier. So will warm, waterproof clothing. Also bring along treats or “ski vitamins” for a little boost to do one more run!
The right pace
Don’t push your child too hard. You might spend more time gearing up than on the slopes, but that’s ok! Keep smiling and respect your child’s pace. If they have fun, they’ll want to go skiing again.
The right slope
Bromont’s learning area is the perfect place to start and progress. It has three consecutive magic carpets and is free of charge for everyone.
Once your child has mastered turning, they can try Mount Soleil. Its short vertical drop is designed for beginners and lift ticket’s cost less than for the rest of the mountain.
Reserving lessons is another great idea. Some kids are more inclined to listen when instructions aren’t coming from mom or dad!
The right treat
Reward your child’s efforts with a yummy hot chocolate at the Chalet Soleil. Lola and Grizzly, the station’s mascots, are often around to give out hugs!
Where to begin?
When kids have fun and feel in control, they want to keep going. This is the approach embraced by the initiatives put in place by Rossignol and the Bromont ski hill:
- The Association of Quebec Ski Resorts’ initiation program, My First Time, is available at the ski school.
- The Rossignol Experience Centre network includes the Bromont skill hill.
- Collaboration with the ski school’s “Info-parents” newsletter.
