Since meeting in 2005, Amélie Fortin and Marie-Christine Poirier have shared the stage hundreds of times, in Canada and abroad. Virtuosos with a remarkable career path, they have continually explored new horizons and pushed their art further. Through thoughtful artistic choices, the Fortin-Poirier Duo successfully blends boldness with accessibility, while staying true to its mission: showcasing the repertoire for four-hand piano.

In this program, the two musicians perform works by six composers and invite audiences on a journey that is both musical and visual, driven by dazzling colors and rhythms. From Ravel’s folkloric echoes to Grieg’s Nordic freshness, from Rachmaninoff’s Russian accents to Piazzolla’s Argentine passion, from Víctor Simón’s lyrical intensity to the Eastern hues of Borodin’s Polovtsian Dances—each piece opens an intimate window onto a unique emotional world.
