Experience Bromont Quebec

July 24, 2020

You know that you can always count on me to find you the most beautiful places that make you fall more and more in love with Canada. A few weeks ago I realized that I have not had the opportunity to take the kids to the eastern townships of Quebec. I have always had the Chateau Bromont in my mind but did not have clear plan on what to do in the general area. I surprised the kids and lets just say they were packed within hour. With absolutely no expectations and an open mind we hit the road. We left Ottawa around 11am and it took us 3.5 hours to BROMONT QC. The drive was easy and enjoyable. As we took the exit off the highway we were totally blown away by the rolling hills and breathtaking views. Just WOW!

Epic Views

We checked into the beautiful property and was warmly greeted by the lovely staff onsite. We entered the room and was treated to divine bubbles, honey and local chocolate from local artisans. If you’re looking to relax and unwind surrounded by rich culture and nature – this place is for you.

Happy To Be Here
Handpicked Local Treats

We made arrangements to have a formal dinner at the 4 Canards Restaurant on the main level. The kids dressed up and it was so exciting.

Fun Times Together

The menu was very impressive and all the dishes were uniquely curated. A definite 5 star experience. The menu is rotated seasonally and each bite was a burst of flavours. The kids were so engaged and their was something for everyone.I paired my meal with local wine. We ended the evening with a phenomenal lavender creme brûlée (yum)

Serious Dinner Faces

After having an amazing nights rest we had some breakfast and I wanted to check to the Amerispa. The kids had other ideas about going to the DIVERTIGO: BROMONT’S NEWEST ACTIVITY. I jumped online to get a few Tickets. This place is unreal and short 5 mins drive from the hotel. You will be entertained from 10am to 6pm. Tickets were anywhere $20 to $50 for the entire day depending on ages. Get ready to create some epic memories.

Day Trip Adventure

Tour Saint-Benoit is a small chapel inside the monastery with services in Gregorian chant, the most ancient form of Christian church music. The chapel also has a Baroque-style church organ. You can spend a few days in the monastery for prayer retreats for meditation and spiritual renewal.

For foodies, Saint Benedict Abbey is also a great destination in Eastern Townships.

The abbey has its own cheese factory. They make their own cheeses which are sold in the on-site store. Their cheeses have won the Concours des fromages du Québec.Aside from cheeses, the abbey also makes its own ciders. They are the only one selling champagne-style Calvados (cider brandy) in Quebec.

Sherbrooke Murals Circuit

An interesting way to explore the city, downtown Sherbrooke has been transformed into a street art museum with wall-to-wall murals scattered throughout the area.

The Sherbrooke Murals Circuit currently has 16 murals, with one new mural per year, that depicts the city’s art, history and culture. Another cool thing about the Sherbrooke Murals Circuit is the tour takes you along the river walk where you’ll get great views of the Magog River.

In my opinion 3 days is the minimum time to explore this area. I would book 4 to 5 days on the next trip. Areas to research are Bromont, Magog, Granby, Sherbrooke. Ive included a resource to help you plan your next trip HERE

Cant wait for you to share your adventure with me.

xx
