Aysay at St-John
The second concert by AySay, a trio with Danish, Turkish, and Kurdish roots, was performed as part of the opening ceremony for Aarhus, the European Capital of Culture, in 2017. Since that night, AySay has performed at renowned venues and festivals, including the Roskilde Festival, P6 Beat Rocker Koncerthuset, and HEJ SØSTER FEST in Denmark, as well as internationally at major festivals such as Sinsal (Spain), Arctic Sounds (Greenland), and Les Escales (France).
In November 2022, AySay traveled to Canada to participate in the international conference Mundial Montréal, where the young musicians were invited to present an official showcase. More recently, they won awards in three categories at the Denmark Music Awards Roots: Artist of the Year, Album of the Year for “Su Akar”, and the group’s vocalist, Luna Ersahin, was named Composer of the Year.
The trio’s debut album, “Su Akar”, released in fall 2021, received widespread critical acclaim. The group is currently working on their second album, “KÖY”, set to be released in 2023.

The show will take place at the Le St-John an architectural gem built between 1882-85 and transformed into a hub for the arts and culture.
