Some experiences feel intimidating – until they’re not. With the right guidance, what once felt out of reach quickly becomes natural. In Bromont, hiking, mountain biking, alpine skiing and golf make it easy to take that first step.
Hiking:
One of the biggest challenges at Bromont is simply choosing where to begin. Guided hikes at the Parc des Sommets make it easy. From spring through fall, 90-minute outings led by patrollers are offered every weekend, with no reservation required beyond a day pass. If you want a deeper connection with the landscape, go on one of the weekly environmental hikes at the Domaine naturel du lac Gale. The sunrise hikes are especially worth the early wake up.
Mountain biking:
For first rides, the Centre national de cyclisme de Bromont is the place to start. Its 2-km network on gentle terrain features progression zones and safe learning areas, even for very young riders on balance bikes or in child seats. Once you’ve found your rhythm, head to the nearby Mount Oak sector of the Parc des Sommets. The easy loops and skills course are great for building confidence. When you’re ready for downhill, Bromont, montagne d’expériences has wider, machine-built beginner and intermediate trails you can tackle. Rentals and lessons are available at each site.
Skiing & snowboarding:
Few places turn first timers into lifelong fans quite like Bromont, montagne d’expériences. Start at Mont Soleil, designed for beginners with three magic carpets, a dedicated learning slope, and seven easy-to-intermediate runs and glades. The Snow School offers lessons for all ages and levels, with packages for any budget. Equipment rentals include skis, snowboards, and alpine touring gear.
Golf:
Why not take your very first swing at one of the most beautiful courses in the Eastern Townships? Golf Château-Bromont is world-renowned, with staff always ready to guide newcomers and ensure you have a great experience. On top of equipment rentals, there are also tailored lessons and practice areas to help you build your technique.
