2026 Resolution: Expand Your Cultural Horizons at the St. John

15 December 2025

On November 13, the Espace culturel St. John unveiled its 2026 program—and what a lineup it is! More than 70 vibrant events await, celebrating creativity, diversity, and talent from near and far. Get ready for unforgettable cultural experiences!

An Intimate Venue Where Every Performance Feels Up Close

Haven’t visited the Espace culturel St. John since its spectacular transformation completed in 2022? What are you waiting for? This former Anglican church, proudly standing at the entrance of Old-Bromont on Shefford Street, has been fully restored and expanded, increasing its seating capacity from 94 to 165 seats and outfitted with state-of-the-art audiovisual technology.

The result? A warm, intimate venue with exceptional acoustics, where audiences feel incredibly close to the artists. I had the pleasure of attending two unforgettable performances there last year—Émile Proulx-Cloutier and Maïa Barouh. Being so close to the stage is a true privilege: listening to an artist recite and sing poetic lyrics that captivate you completely, or being swept away into bold, surprising worlds that transport you far from everyday life for an evening.

One thing is certain: I won’t miss my chance to return in 2026 to make new discoveries. The upcoming program promises to be more inspiring than ever! Why not make it your resolution for 2026? Let the St. John awaken your senses and spark your curiosity.

A Diverse and Accessible 2026 Program

The 2026 lineup stands out for its wide range of performances, blending renowned Quebec artists, emerging talents, and local performers to discover. Jazz, blues, classical music, theatre, comedy, lectures, cinema, and youth programming—there’s something for every taste and every age!

Highlights include the opening show featuring acclaimed harmonica player Guy Bélanger; a brand-new duo creation by Catherine Major and Jeff Moran, Bunker à ciel ouvert; the highly anticipated return of Marina Orsini with Reconstruire les saisons; as well as performances by Stéphanie Boulay, Hauterive with Mara Tremblay and Catherine Durand, The Franklin Electric, Mélissa Ouimet, Kim Churchill, Elliot Maginot, and William Cloutier, along with many emerging and local artists.

The Pro Musica on the Road classical music series, Les Nuits FAUNE, themed Musical Bingo nights, youth performances, and Momos Comedy shows round out this rich program, shining a spotlight on culture in the heart of Bromont.

Showcasing Local Talent

You may notice that several artists come from the region, including Bromont native Mélissa Ouimet, Catherine Major and Jeff Moran—owners of Au Loup, Bed & Boutique in Waterloo—and Mara Tremblay, now a proud resident of Shefford.

This year, the Espace culturel St. John is also highlighting emerging regional artists by featuring opening acts. Tyler Comeau, Bromont’s Nick Patterson, and Cédrik Langevin will have the opportunity to perform before large audiences and share the stage with headlining artists. This initiative supports the growth of new talent while fostering lasting connections between artists and audiences.

Expo Vague Urbaine Comes Indoors

Another exciting new addition this year, aligned with St. John’s mission to spotlight local talent, is its partnership with Expo Vague Urbaine—an event designed to showcase emerging regional artists. Hip hop, ska, reggae, electro-metal, and more will take center stage. Following a successful debut at the Public Square last summer, this festive event combining artistic performances, music, and vibrant atmosphere promises an immersive experience at the St. John.

The LNI on Tour… at the St. John

For the first time ever, the Espace culturel St. John will host the legendary National Improvisation League (LNI). Experience the high-energy improv matches where theatre virtuosos face off in a hockey-inspired, electrifying atmosphere.

Momos Comedy Series – Laughter in the Making

The Momos Comedy series offers an authentic comedy experience, putting laughter and innovation at the heart of every evening. A true creative laboratory, the series allows comedians to test new material, refine their acts, and engage directly with audiences in a warm, intimate setting. This season’s lineup includes Ouellet, Coco Belliveau, Geneviève Gagnon, and Zac Bulle, each bringing their unique energy to the St. John stage. Additional shows will be announced throughout the year—stay tuned so you don’t miss a moment of the 2026 series.

Giving the Gift of Culture

With its cozy, inviting atmosphere, diverse programming, and strong support for local talent, the Espace culturel St. John continues to shine as the beating heart of Bromont’s cultural life. Whether you’re a fan of music, theatre, comedy, or visual arts, every visit promises a unique and memorable experience.

Looking for an original holiday gift? Choose tickets or a gift certificate from the St. John—a perfect way to share unforgettable cultural moments with loved ones and introduce them to artists from near and far in 2026. And why not treat yourself too?
