Tour bromont’s craft beer scene

21 May 2024

Bromont is bliss for beer lovers. It has three microbreweries offering completely different experiences, but all sharing three key ingredients: A burning passion for brewing, delicious local cuisine, and a great good-times vibe. Want to quench your thirst after working up a sweat on Bromont’s bike paths, hiking trails, or golf courses? Take the tour…

Les Brasseurs de West Shefford / Edgar Hyperlodge

For over 10 years, Edgar Hyperlodge and Refuge West Shefford (integrated with the brewery) have been famous for their quality products, creative dishes, lively vibe, and community involvement. Its impressive selection of craft beers include the Brassée de Blanc white beer, the Pretty Bastard stout, and the NEIPA Feu de Joie – platinum prize winner at the 2023 Mondial de la bière – the biggest international beer festival in North America. Outdoor enthusiasts flock to the outdoor terraces and fire pits. Post-dinner, the place comes alive with themed nights featuring live bands or DJs.

Le Brouemont

Brouemont Craft Beer

A beloved local institution with an easy-going, family-friendly vibe. Its raspberry and maple amber beers are downright famous. So is the massive burger menu, which includes several vegetarian options. Brouemont’s small-scale equipment lets it experiment more freely with beer flavours, and the open-minded brewmaster is meticulous with ingredients. Want something more contemporary? Go for the New England IPA, sour Sin Calzone, or stronger Russian Imperial Stout. More into the classics? Try the blonde, white, black, or IPA. Either way, you’re in for a treat.

À L’Abordage

This microbrewery may be a relative newcomer to Bromont’s good-eats, local-beer scene, but it’s been a mainstay in Sutton for nearly a decade. It specializes in New England-style IPAs and Czech and German lagers. The laid-back vibe attracts families and outdoor lovers alike. So do the famous fish & chips and duck poutine. Also worth trying? The new La Pignon sur Mexico lager, which plays with grains like barley and corn. Don’t be shy to join the organized running and cycling outings; they’re a blast!
