It’s official: Summer is finally here. And summer means family vacation time! Thinking of visiting Bromont in the coming weeks? We’ve got you covered – so read on!

Bromont has long been known as a top destination for outdoor enthusiasts, cycling fans, and lovers of fine dining. But it’s also the perfect place for enjoying family fun and making lasting memories.

Here are our top tips for making the most of your stay in our region with your little adventurers!

Splash around and hit new heights at Bromont, montagne d’expériences

Discover a mountain load of activities at the famous Water Park at Bromont, montagne d’expériences: 20 water slides, a wave pool, tons of mountain water games, a climbing wall, and rope games. Toddlers will love the Sailor and the Captain – two new slides just their size!

Does your family thrive on challenges? Be sure to check out the Hisséo – Hebertism Park. Test your agility as you work your way through this incredible 4-level aerial course featuring zip lines, a free-fall simulator, and a giant swing soaring 30 feet in the air.

New for 2023: Summer’s Must-Have Trio for adventure-loving families! It includes one-day tickets to three well-known attractions: the Zoo de Granby, La Ronde, and the Water Park at Bromont, montagne d’expériences. Quantities are limited, so get your tickets now!

Have a blast with the family at the Old Bromont Public Square

The Public Square in Old Bromont is the perfect place to meet up, have fun, and get inspired! The 2023 summer program offers a multitude of exciting and totally free activities that will delight the entire family: Parent & kid yoga sessions, story time, board game workshops, dance classes, martial arts, craft workshops, rock painting, and much more! Every Thursday throughout July, bring the family to the Bromont Folk & Blues presented by Desjardins concerts from 5 to 7 pm.

Explore the region by bike with your little ones

Want to explore the Bromont region by bike? The Route Verte #4 is the ideal path! It connects Old Bromont to the Estriade and its 97-km-long network of bike paths passing through Granby, the Township of Shefford, Yamaska National Park, and Waterloo. Its elevation change of only 2% makes it perfect for families looking for a safe and easy ride.

Discover the joys of mountain biking and the thrills of the Bromont National Cycling Center

Mountain biking as a family is a ton of fun! Whether you’re beginners or experts, the Mont Oak Network is the ideal place to hit the trails. To make things even easier, you can now rent mountain bikes at the brand new Welcome Pavilion. You can also chat with advisors who can steer you to the best trails for your skill level.

At the Bromont National Cycling Centre, you’ll find even more great biking trails – along with push bike rentals for your little ones, as well as an indoor and outdoor pumptrack where they can train like real champs. Those ages 12 and up can push their limits with an initiation to track cycling on the new indoor track at the Vélodrome Sylvan Adams.

Embark on an adventure in the Eastern Townships forest

The Parc des Sommets – boasting 140 km of hiking trails across 5 networks – offers multiple options for discovering the region’s most beautiful panoramas. The whole family will be amazed by the breathtaking scenery, whether it’s from the lookout on Mount Horizon or in the Gale Lake area.

And if you’re a dog owner, we have great news: The Parc des Sommets networks allow leashed dogs on all trails, with the exception of the Gale Lake network. No need to leave your faithful companion behind during your family vacation!

Want to add an extra dose of fun to your adventure? Take the family up the ski lifts at Bromont, montagne d’expériences. In just a few minutes, you’ll be mountaintop, soaking in sweeping views of the region. Even little ones can see the world from up high!

Satisfy your sweet tooth in our gourmet shops

When it comes to pleasing children (and sweet-toothed adults), nothing hits the spot like a sweet treat! Swing by the Musée du chocolat de la confiserie Bromont, enjoy a tasty soft-serve ice cream at Crèmerie 1792, sip on bubble tea at Bonthé, or enjoy freshly baked pie just like Grandma used to make at Désirables Gâteries. Still craving something sweet? A new ice cream shop, Crèmerie Oaké, is now open at the foot of Mount Oak this summer. It’s the perfect place to refuel after cycling or enjoying the great outdoors at Parc des Sommets!

Cool off when the summer heats kicks in

Feeling the heat? The splash pad at the Germain-Désourdy Campus is open every day from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m until Labour Day (weather permitting). This family-friendly campus is a quick and easy spot to cool off and have fun on the grassy areas and volleyball courts. Best of all, it’s located right beside Old Bromont and its many activities.

Rather spend the day by the water? The public beach at Lake Bromont offers dock access for launching light watercraft, outdoor toilets, children’s swings, a beach volleyball court, and picnic tables. It’s open residents and visitors alike, seven days a week.

Recharge your batteries after a busy day

Bromont has plenty of places to spend the night. Some specifically cater to families – such as the Domaine Yamaska resort. It offers fully-equipped rustic cottages for rent, with plenty of space to comfortably accommodate the whole family. The resort’s heated in-ground pool, splash pad, playground, and volleyball court will keep both young and old alike happily entertained. It even welcomes pets! Numerous campsites, hotels and accommodations are available.
