Bromont, montagne d’expériences : Mountain bike

One of the first resorts in Quebec to offer downhill skiing, Bromont resort is a paradise for downhill and enduro enthusiasts, with 26 trails spread over 50 km and access to 3 lifts. Fun is guaranteed during the summer season. Several trails are available for all levels, children and adults will enjoy.

To get there, go to parking lot P5 at Versant du Lac. Everything has been designed with mountain bikers in mind: a rest area with food and beverages, a boutique with bike accessories and rentals, and a repair shop.

A mountain bike school is also located here.

The network is connected to the Parc des Sommets de Bromont to add a hundred kilometers and extend the experience.

Mountain biking season at Bromont, montagne d’expériences, generally runs from mid-May to mid-October — weekends and holidays at the start and end of the season, and 7 days a week from late June to late August.

Water games of the Campus Germain-Désourdy

Open daily during the summer from 8 am to 8 pm (depending on the weather) , the campus water games are the perfect place to discover with family to cool off just a few steps from Old Bromont and its activities. Please check if the facilities are open before going. Have fun !

The Parc des Sommets network has more than 150 km of trails. They criss-cross the mountain, Old Bromont, lakes, residential areas, the businesses of the Science Park and sometimes offer breathtaking views of the Bromont massifs.

Parc des Sommets is divided into 5 networks and 3 of them are perfect for snowshoeing :

Did you know that Louise Penny received the Ordre national du Québec, the highest honor awarded by the government of Quebec?

Louise Penny is a Canadian author known for her crime novels, primarily set in the province of Quebec. She lives in the Eastern Townships, where the setting for the investigations of her main character, Inspector Armand Gamache of the Sûreté du Québec, takes place. The Three Pines crime series, adapted from the world of her novels, is set in an imaginary village in the Eastern Townships with the same name.

Parc des Sommets

The Parc des Sommets in Bromont has 150 km of multi-use trails enjoyed by hikers and runners, mountain bikers, fatbike enthousiasts, cross-country skiers and snowshoers. Summer or winter, every member of the family will fins it’s best activity to practice !

The park is one of Quebec’s 50 regional parks, not to be confused with provincial or national parks. The five networks of Parc des Sommets offer a large vartiety of trail routes for all skill levels set across conservation zones with a rich biodiversity to discover:

Dogs on a leash are permitted at all times on most of our trails, except for the Lac Gale wich is conservation zone.

Several events are organized throughout the year, such as full moon hikes, shinrin-yoku (forest bathing) sessions, and a discovery camp during the summer season.

VISITOR CENTER

Domaine Muscadine

Domaine Muscadine located on Gaspé Road is a farm specializing in raising elk, one of the largest deer species in the world closely related to the Virginia deer. In the farm’s year-round open shop, you’ll find a range of dishes prepared with cuts of elk and bison raised on-site, as well as pork, Highland beef, rabbits, and chickens. Elk meat is rather lean and rich in nutrients.

Did you know that the indigenous root of the name “wapiti” means white rump? You might have the chance to observe the accuracy of this designation during your stop if the elk appear!

The Parc des Sommets trails add up to 150 km. They cross the mountain, the heart of the Old-Bromont, lakes, residential areas, the Scientific Park and offer mesmerizing views of Bromont’s mounts. The recreational trails are divided within 5 networks. 2 of them will delight mountain bikers. The network offers it’s trails year-round, however, be sure to check the conditions. Whether with family or friends, everyone will enjoy!

The madness of the family farm Folie Douce? Cultivating 10 hectares of organic rhubarb in a few years to continue its mission of producing an extraordinary beverage, rhubarb juice! Cross-country SkiingThe Parc des Sommets in Bromont offers several options for cross-country skiing enthusiasts to enjoy their sport amidst stunning landscapes! The various options are ideal for a romantic or family activity during the winter season.
8 KM LOOP With breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains, the Bromont Olympic Equestrian Park features an 8 km loop suitable for both classic and skate skiing. It is possible to add to this loop a 2.5 km circuit (K1) that is located in the network adjacent to the Equestrian Park, Mont Oak. Those trails are managed by the Parc des Sommets. CEINTURE DE RANDONNÉE (C1) The 15 km Ceinture de randonnée (C1) encircling the mountain is designed for classic cross-country skiing. An intermediate-level trail, it is multi-use, so users are asked not to walk or bike on the ski tracks to maintain good conditions for skiers. The groomed section is located between Missisquoi Street and Parking Lot P5. Since the other sections are interrupted by road crossings, you will need to carry your equipment (portage) at a few points. The stretch between P5 and P2 is not groomed, as it is not wide enough. The C1 is also managed by the Parc des Sommets. VILLAGE NETWORK The Villageois network is another option for classic cross-country skiing. This easy-level trail connects the heart of Bromont’s village core to the Science Park. Nearly 10 km of trails are track-set. The following map shows, in light green, the areas groomed by the team.

Have you ever seen a field of sunflowers in bloom in August? It’s magical and the perfect time to visit the kiosk at Arôme des Champs organic oil mill and farm! Zoo de Granby

Réseau Vélo Yamaska

Route Verte 4 connects Old Bromont to Estriade and its network of over 60 km of bike paths, including the Yamaska National Park. It’s the largest playground in the Eastern Townships exclusively for cycling !

With your family, head towards Waterloo or Granby for miles of fun with the kids! Several picnic areas are located along the trail, as well as numerous restaurants and a few ice cream shops if you venture slightly off the path. The entire loop covers 54 km.

During your ride, you can admire the monumental sculptures of ARTRIA, a true open-air museum set along our bike path network.

RÉSEAU VÉLO YAMASKA IN WINTER

Check the map to find parking locations. For a departure from Bromont, note that there’s a parking lot specifically for cyclists (accessible for both cars and motor vehicles) located behind the Empire store in the Quartier Bromont.

With the Véloroute Gourmande, which connects Montreal and Sherbrooke, you can enjoy more than 200 km of routes, mostly on dedicated bike paths, with Bromont at its center.

Bromont, montagne d’expériences’ water park is a paradise for families looking to cool off in summer! 23 slides of varying intensities, 4 heated pools and the famous wave pool will delight young and old alike.
